Universals (John, Paul, George): 18in x 32in
Trotec (Ringo): 39in x 24in

Template Usage
Templates are provided below so you can submit files to the laser cutter using either AutoCAD or Adobe
Illustrator. Both templates have been prepared to have the proper bed/window/sheet size with a ¼”
margin, and the correct settings by layers. Each template includes instructions on how to move
linework to the correct layer and attach the appropriate settings. To start, there is vector cut layer,
two vector etch layers, and a raster engrave layer (Trotec only). If you want to set up more than 2
layers of engraving, copy one of our layers, and give it an alternate color that corresponds to one of
the 8 AutoCAD basic layers.

Always use the template, which can be found below in both .ai and .dwg files for Universals and the Trotec.

General Instructions

- ALL drawings sent to the laser cutters must use this template
- Move each line to correct layer according to type and desired depth; Vector_Etch Light marks top surface of material, Vector_Etch Heavy cuts through approximately 1/2 material depth, Vector_CUT completely cuts material
- Select all items on each layer, then use Eyedropper Tool (I) to match the color and stroke weight to Layer Key
- Turn off layer OFF_Outline
- Go to File > Print to send to laser cutter; ensure page range is set to 1 for test cut or 2 for your work

Note: Additional Artboards may be added to accommodate the preparation of multiple sheets using the options in the Artboards Palette
